The Value in Testing Your Facebook Ad Campaigns

Are you a fan of testing?

I know a lot of people resist the word testing especially when running Facebook Ads.

But let me ask you something.

Do you want to know the best interest to target for your Facebook ads?

Curious about the best campaign objective to use?

Do you want to know whether you should use manual bid or automatic bid?

Do you want to know what type of ad creative works best (whether video, image, carousel, etc)?

I’ve been doing this Facebook ads thing for over 4 years and I’m very excited to share with you to answers to these questions!

And the answer is:

I don’t know.

Does that make not an expert? That’s up to you to decide.

I have my own opinions on those questions which I strongly feel about and can back up but I will never claim them to be the right way to do Facebook ads.

Want to know what works best? Test.

Always be testing.

Testing scares of some business owners because the word assumes experimentation and spending for something that’s not a sure thing.

But testing allows you to discover right off the bat what works and what doesn’t work so that later on, you can pour in more ad spend budget on what is providing you with the highest returns and adjust or turn off what doesn’t work.

Testing also allows you to see avenues of growth even when you already have ad campaigns which are successfully running.

And besides, what you “lose” by running the wrongs ads to the wrong audience will be made up when you discover and scale the successful ads and the successful audiences.

Thomas Edison said: “I didn’t fail 1000 times. The lightbulb was an invention with 1000 steps.”

Always be testing.
