Sell What Your Customers Really Want

Selling is fun 🙂

Back when I was working in a hotel, I would never have thought I would be saying that sentence. My former co-workers know that I hated selling.

But it is. and if you’re in the business of selling whether it’s your job or your business, here’s a quick tip (among many many tips out there).

When selling a product, we don’t actually sell the actual product.

Initial instinct will tell us to sell the features.

Most sales trainings and coaches will tell you to sell the benefits.

A friend who’s a very smart and skilled marketer recently shared to sell the emotions.

And I submit to you another tip:

Sell what your customers actually want.

I belong to Facebook groups of Facebook advertisers around the world and someone recently asked how other marketers in the group got their clients.

Here’s what I said:

“Don’t offer them FB ads 🙂 chances are, your clients aren’t waking up in the middle of the night saying “I need Facebook ads” 🙂

What do they really want?

Instead of offering FB ads management, offer something they want like more customers for example 🙂 offer to provide more customers to your potential clients and people will listen 🙂 then use FB ads as the medium to deliver that 🙂

What do your customers really want?

Offer that, and just use your product or service to deliver that.
