Quick Troubleshooting Guide for Facebook Ad Campaigns
Are your ads not performing well? This troubleshooting guide can help.
Always make sure to check the data Facebook Ads Manager is providing so you know exactly what to fix.
Here’s a list of general troubleshooting guidelines. Take note though that everything is in a case to case basis. But the following bits of info are what I’ve gathered in my own experience.
Is Link CTR low? That means there is a mismatch between the ad and the targeted audience. One or both have to change.
is CTR high but CPC is also high? That means the ad resonates with the audience but the space is rather competitive. You can either target a more specific audience and/or make sure the offer is very highly relevant to the audience to at least beat out the competition.
This one is for ads that lead directly to a landing page with an offer. Is CTR high but the conversion rate is low? This could mean that there is a disconnect between what you are promising on the ad and what is on the landing page. Make sure that the connection is there or else to would make the ad look misleading and scammy. I mean, imagine being promised a free report but when they reach the landing page, you’re suddenly selling it to them.
